HW Creativity

New media is an extension of old media that uses digital technology, such as the internet as a platform to deliver contents. The internet allows users to connect instantly and cheaply. The fact that the internet allows people to have rapid communication increases the spread of information. As more information are exchanged, it fosters creativity. In the article, “Twitter Serves Up Ideas from Its Followers” by Claire Miller, she stated that “the Internet lets people exchange ideas easily and rapidly with large groups, and computing tools let people design new products cheaply.” Twitter is an example of a platform where people can share their ideas and opinions. Twitter itself uses the platform to understand the users and improves its services. As ideas spread on Twitter, people can share their opinion, which gives companies like Twitter an understanding of what users want. Twitter would save a lot of money on developing new features to users since users themselves are feeding new ideas to Twitter for improvement. Therefore, new media promotes creativity through the spread of information and instant connectivity between people.

Since Baruch is a commuter school, all that would change the dynamic of Baruch’s social life. Therefore, it would promote students to exchange ideas and share information willingly. Even though the existing Blackboard system allows students to connect with each other, its functions are limited and it is not user friendly. In addition, by utilizing social networking technology to create an app for student...

Social Networking — The End of Privacy

Furthermore, it is not just you who possess your online information, it is everyone else on the web....
